What does early access consist of?
Backers at the ALL-IN pledge levels get early access to the text content of Cypher Decoded. This will consist of text documents. We’ll deliver them as soon as the text is complete and presentable (meaning through the early stages of editing, but not necessarily proofed or finalized). We expect to deliver these documents several months after the campaign closed—mid 2027, most likely.
Although this draft will not be formatted or laid out, it’ll have all the information you need to the new options in play.

Will there be VTT support for Cypher Decoded?
Probably, but we aren’t ready to guarantee or offer it just yet.
We’re well into the process of developing VTT support for Cypher, with Roll20 as the first supported platform. (In fact, we may have some news to share about that during this campaign!) Until that process is complete, we aren’t ready to commit to the scope or timeline of VTT implementations for Cypher supplements.

How does Cypher Decoded compare to the forthcoming book Cypher Character Options?
Cypher Character Options adds more breadth—particularly in the genres and types offered—but not really many optional rules or ways to take Cypher in a whole new direction. Cypher Decoded includes even more new types and genres, but is mostly about new options and ways to customize Cypher.

Will the Cypher Bestiary be available through retail or the MCG Shop, or was it an exclusive for backers of the Cypher: Faster. Easier. And Even Better! campaign?
At the time of the Cypher: Faster. Easier. And Even Better! campaign we weren’t sure if we’d make the Cypher Bestiary (not to be confused with Cypher Bestiary II, being funded through this campaign) available to the general public—or if so, when.
As promised during that campaign, we’re making a premium version for those backers—it’s at the printer right now! And good news: we’re also making a standard version, available as an add-on through this campaign and also, in the months to come, for sale through the MCG Shop, your FLGS, and everywhere you buy RPGs.

My coupon for a reward has expired. Can you help me?
Coupons expire one year after the reward’s release date.
One year after a reward’s release date, all of the stock that we have of it is released for sale on the MCG Shop, unless of course it is a crowdfunding exclusive. In other words, the stock we’ve been holding back for one year to fulfill rewards is no longer reserved.
If you have an expired coupon, you can reach out through our Contact Us page and if we still have the product in stock, we can renew the coupon for you.

I moved. How do I update my address?
You don’t need to give us an updated shipping address because you’ll enter your shipping address each time you redeem a reward. (If you want to save money on shipping, you can wait for up to a year to redeem a bundle of rewards all at the same time.)

How does shipping work? Is it included in my pledge? Will all my rewards come at once?
When a reward is ready to fulfill, you’ll use the MCG Shop to manage the process. This puts you, the backer, in charge of redeeming rewards at your convenience, and ensures we always have your up-to-date address at the time we ship a reward. We offer a variety of domestic and international shipping methods from which you can choose. As of this writing, basic domestic shipping is $9 per shipment, but we do not control future postal rates, so that cost is subject to change. International shipping is based on postal and shipping rates at the time of the order, and varies by destination and shipment weight.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
Rewards: To receive your reward(s), you must follow the steps we've outlined for you and to which you agreed through the pledge manager survey. We guarantee that your crowdfunding reward will be available for you to redeem for up to one year beyond its release date.
Privacy: MCG values privacy—our own and yours. We use modern tools to garner analytics, provide website functionality, and communicate with you about things you need to know (crowdfunding redemptions, for example) or that you might be interested in (such as announcements of new games). We don’t sell your data to anyone else, and you can opt out of those communications if you wish.
